Did you know that being healthy and losing weight starts in your mind?
Tip: Tell your body it is not being deprived, but rather you are taking charge and going on a treasure hunt. You are actively searching-out healthy food that you will love or learn to love.
The Treasure Hunt Game
Object of the Game: Find as many good guys as you can and eliminate the villains.
Good Guys: Food that helps you live longer and stronger, giving you energy and mental alertness.
The Villain: Bad habits. These are foods of which you are familiar, but many are hurting you and undermining your good intentions.
Your bad habit might be triggered by time. Does 9 PM sound the ice cream bell? Does 3 PM lure you to a salty snack? Or maybe your bad habit beckons from a place. Does the mall tempt you with a homemade pretzel dripping butter or shedding sugar and cinnamon? Does the scent of a movie theater “force” you into the popcorn line, not to mention the pump to “add your own 5,000 calories of theater butter?”
The Score: Give yourself points. For every bad habit you eliminate, you SCORE! For every healthy replacement food, you SCORE!
Learn which foods add to your life, and which foods steal from life span, as you create a health legacy for your family.
