Alert April
Alert April seems quite appropriate for my April name as I plunge into April with great excitement for what the Lord is doing. I’ve probably learned more about God and His Word this past year than ever before. And the more I learn, the more I realize His revelation for us is inexhaustible. I choose Alert April as my April name, borrowing it from one of our team members, Marilyn, who always has the best month name no matter how good I think mine is. My choice is to be alert to all thoughts coming into my mind and capturing each one that doesn’t line up with God’s word. “Capture every thought and bring it into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Cor 10:5
Angels on Assignment April
Yes, this was my April name for 2021 and I almost chose it again. In early February I was introduced to Psalm 91: God’s Shield of Protection by Peggy Joyce Ruth, as I have mentioned in earlier posts. This book has blessed my life immensely.
As we take this Psalm of protection, believe it, and say it, God commands his angels charge over us to bear us up in their hands lest we dash our foot against a stone. Angels are on assignment in April for us, who are heirs of salvation. Special guardian angels are on missions to protect our family members, bring people and ideas across our paths, and orchestrate details we would have no idea how to orchestrate.
More About Angels
Many times they are invisible. The Bible even mentions that we must be careful as we might be entertaining angels unaware. Charles Capps is one of the great Generals of Faith that most likely contributed more than anyone in the understanding of the power of our words. Here is a short masterful presentation on the revelation of angels: Charles Capps on angels
Our angels are set into motion by our words that are in line with God’s word. Ps 103:20 says angels excel in strength and they hearken to the voice of His Word. We are the ones speaking His Word on the earth today.
A New Season
As I look out of our dance room upstairs window, I see the beautiful white blossoms on our Bradford Pear Tree and the pink blossoms on the Redbud. I love this time of the year as we begin to see the flowers blooming and the trees blossoming. For me, it is a reminder of a new season and time to learn new things, which I so enjoy doing. Life is a journey of discovering all the treasures that God has prepared for us.

We are finishing up on Four Weeks to a Lifetime in April and May and will begin one of my favorite of all courses later in July: Engaging Your Energy. Watch for this announcement.
Easter – Jesus is Risen
Years ago I read a Christmas card that had a phrase I have never forgotten. The phrase went something like this: He paid a price we couldn’t pay for a debt He didn’t owe. When Jesus came to earth as a man and lived life as a man, he qualified in the Supreme Court of the Universe to be eligible to pay the price for sin we could never ever be able to pay. Then He went to the cross and was crucified and went on to hell to suffer for you and for me, so we do not have to suffer if only we received and confess Him as our Lord and Savior. He was raised from the dead so we might have eternal life. Romans 10:8-10
Our faith is based on the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. These are facts received by faith, that have changed the history of mankind.
But what do these facts mean for you—2,000 years later? Do they mean anything? Actually, they mean everything to us as believers. The same spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in us and quickens our mortal bodies.
When the power of God raised Christ from the dead, it sealed Satan’s defeat forever. Now, it’s up to you and to me to live in the finished work of the Cross.
May we wish you a Happy Easter as you remember this tremendous price we couldn’t pay that He paid for us.
