Amazing August
This is my declaration for the coming month…..amazing, awesome August. We have even more family birthdays in August than we had in July. How very blessed we are.
My expectations are high and my hope is bubbling over. Things don’t look as high as my expectancy is in our nation, but my thought is “something good is about to happen.” It is so very much fun to imagine and to dream. God tells us that without a vision, His people perish.
Renewing Our Minds
For the month of August, the Fabufit blogs will center around renewing our minds. Oh, this is so important. Dr. Caroline Leaf says the only way our lives are changed is by renewing our minds. God instructs us as Christians to not be conformed to
this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This world has a very different culture than the one we have chosen as Christians. Our enemy, Satan, rules the world, the Kingdom of darkness. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, rules the Kingdom of light. He translated us out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light the moment we became a Christian. This is such good news.
Renewing your mind even relates to Inch Loss.
Benefits
So many benefits come with learning this truth and, more so, learning to live in this truth. “Your mind is renewed to the Word of God to the degree that the Word dictates your daily actions.” ~ Curry Blake
You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. ~ John 8:32

Sports has been a big part of our family. This summer our grandson, Carter, and his ninth-grade F5 Elite basketball team took the honors in tournaments all summer. This past week they even came in 1st out of 50 ninth grade teams in

the Nationals held in Mansfield, TX. John and I were blessed to see each of the 4 days of games. God is so good. We diligently prayed for each of the boys to play their very best. And they did. Each of the Buchanan grandsons has had the privilege of their dad’s expertise in coaching them. The Plano High School coaches should really thank Brett and Mr. Mitchel for the work they have done with the boys.
Many blessings to you as we enter this wonderful month of August.
