An Impossible Situation Could Have Stolen
A very impossible situation could have totally stolen our dance. Beautiful memories of our 50th Wedding Anniversary Party could have been stolen if John or I had allowed a situation to become a stronghold.
Dance Lessons
Here is what happened. Last spring, John and I decided to take private dance lessons and have a beautiful waltz choreographed for our first dance of our party. Thank you Ben de la Vega for hours of patience and instruction. We worked diligently learning and practicing this waltz every week and sometimes several times a week.
Something Went Wrong at Crossfit
On the day BEFORE our party, I jumped wrong in Crossfit (trying to do a jump more advanced than I should have) and turned my ankle. I carefully watched my thoughts and words all day, never speaking what my mind was trying to fear. John prayed for me declaring John 15:7 and the Word in Acts 3:7 ……immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength and he jumped up walking and leaping and praising God. Alas, by 5:00 pm Thursday the situation looked really dim. I could put not one ounce of pressure on my foot. The ankle was swollen and the pain was terrible to say the least.
Vain Imaginations
I knew if I didn’t hold fast to my trust in The Lord for a miracle, I would never be able to stand, walk or dance. And yes, in the night as I felt the pain and could not even move that foot, vain imaginations tried hard to dart across my mind of going to our party in a wheel chair or worse, not at all.
A Healing Miracle
At 7Am Friday morning, I courageously stepped on my foot and took a step. I realized God had done a mighty miracle. I could walk. Each step became easier and more strength was felt in my ankle. John drove me over to Dr. Okons, our chiropractor, and she verified it was a miracle. She told me to take the brace and ace bandage off and keep walking.
All glory goes to The Lord for a mighty healing and ability to have this memory.
With God all things are possible.
