Awesome August

This is my declaration for the coming month…..amazing, awesome August. We have even more family birthdays in August than we had in July. How very blessed we are.

My expectations are high and my hope is bubbling over. Things don’t look as high as my expectancy is, but my thought is “something good is about to happen.” It is so very much fun to imagine and to dream. God tells us that without a vision, His people perish.

For the month of August, the Fabufit blogs will center around a book I have read this summer called The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson.  Some books just become a part of you. This one has for me. It is all about the power of prayer and the power of imagination.

A Prayer Honored

A number of years ago, I was in the home of a great woman of God. I saw a photo on her wall of her entire family and learned that she and her husband had paid for a special trip for the entire family to celebrate their 50th anniversary. I began to dream. What if……John and I could save the money for such a trip, and what if…..everyone would be able to go? We began to pray for such a trip and the money to pay for all.

Next week all (19) of our family including our nine grandchildren will be traveling to a beautiful beach house John and I have rented as a special 50th Anniversary event. Our 50th was last year, but Brennon was 9 months pregnant, so we had to reschedule the week at The Veranda Beach House.
