Peace Can Be Ours
God’s wisdom and love can be ours for such a time as this.
Isaiah 26:3 TPT Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with You; they confidently trust in you.
Let’s all begin to think about all of the things we can to be thankful for. I know I have so much to give back in gratefulness for all the blessings that have come and are coming my way. Aren’t we thankful that trucks are still delivering and grocery stores are still open? Our President and his team have done so much in such a short time to protect us and to diligently find ways to stop this Pandemic in its tracks. Aren’t we thankful for our first responders being so brave, our brave medical heroes, our military stepping up to help in mighty ways, and our private sector going above and beyond? Thank you, Lord, for bringing this President and Vice President into office for such a time as this to orchestrate such a plan as this.
This time being home can be a wonderful time as we now have time we probably didn’t enjoy before. It seems for me I have gone from 70 miles an hour to about 40. Actually, it is so very refreshing.
As I write these posts, which I don’t know if anyone reads, I have been trying so hard to do things correctly and pass the SEO guidelines. Somehow, I believe that is taking away my voice by trying to pass a test instead of sharing my heart.
Let’s say, who cares about SEO.
Such a time as this that we are living in causes all of us to travel uncertain roads on unchartered territory. We don’t know what the future holds; but, thankfully, we do know who holds the future. His name is Jesus. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. His Name is above every name. Without a relationship with Him, fear can easily take over sooner or later. The precious little girl above in this post will tell you exactly how to begin this relationship if you haven’t already. Her sweet passion for Jesus will cause you to want to know Him more.
Honestly, I don’t have any fear. Of course, there are a few moments that fear has to be resisted and stopped immediately as I think of a few family members who are away or can’t be visited (like my 99-year-old mom.) So thankfully, our God has given us His word to go to that gives us promises of peace and instruction on how to overcome fear before it gains any entrance. These promises are for you too. “Don’t let fear paralyze you”, the Passion Translations says. Rather, think on things good and pure and lovely and of a good report.
My heart is heavy for all of the ones out there who are experiencing sickness or loss of jobs and even loss of dear loved ones. I pray for divine health and supernatural provision to flow through this post. I believe and say that we will come through this with greater strength than ever before. Be encouraged. Begin, if you aren’t already, to do what you can by encouraging yourself and others. God’s word, especially the Psalms will give you much comfort. As The Passion Translation says in the preface to the Psalms:
They charge our batteries and fill our souls.
The dark rain clouds of grief turn to bright rainbows of hope just from meditating on David’s soul-subduing songs.
Reading the Psalms will turn sighing into singing and trouble into triumph.
Let’s fill our imaginations with healing, recovery of all lost, better than ever. The United States of America once again united and helping those all over the world.
WE CAN ALL USE SOME GOOD NEWS
MARCH 31, 2020 | IFA STAFF
Could you use some good news? A laugh? We really enjoyed this new YouTube series (click the screen below to watch) with actor/producer John Krasinski, Some Good News. In this video, Krasinski shares about some of the incredible things people are doing for each other during this quarantine. One of our favorite lines is “marriage is the most romantic thing of all,” which is the introduction to a clip of a man singing Amazing Grace with his wife, an Alzheimer’s patient–he is outside the window of her room in a nursing home.
