Secret #2 For Living Long and Strong
Those who have run the race share secret #2 for living long and strong.
By the yard, life is hard; but inch by inch anything is a cinch.
Remember Reverend Roy Miller who was introduced to you in September? When we look at his life, we realize he lived using all of the secrets learned so far. He actually is a role model for every single secret of the seven. Possibly he most exemplifies Secret #2.
This is a mindset we can learn to develop. It will make a huge difference in the way our life turns out.
Old Age is Not for Sissies
Art Linkletter said it so well, “Old age isn’t for sissies.”
We must possess the will to live and the courage to grow old. Mary Edwards Renewer wrote this poem at the age of 100.
The Will to Live and The Courage to Grow Old
We should not drag our feet
When time commands, “March on”
We should step out briskly,
Within our hearts, a song.
Our memory is a mirror
Through which we view the past
With melancholy pleasure
But such moments cannot last.
We have to face the future
With joys and griefs unknown:
Let spiritual growth continue
So we do not walk along.
