Changing Your Set Point Wrapup
Team Fabulous just completed our course on Changing Your Set Point with our final Changing Your Set Point Wrapup Class. Is changing your set point part of your 2020 goals? A new year always brings new hopes, dreams, and goals. Many times those hopes and dreams tend to disappear as the year marches on. I encourage you to not let that happen in 2020. There is something very special about this coming year. It is also a new decade. Prophetic words tell us to anticipate great change, new visions, new ideas, and new concepts.
Changing Your Mindset
The topic of our just-completed course is a topic that has much to do with many New Year’s Resolutions: “Losing Weight”. However, just losing weight is a rather shallow phrase and will bring little lasting success if it is based on traditional methods and if no mindset change is involved.
Trying to change your lifestyle without first changing your mindset
is like trying to drive a car on the freeway without a steering wheel. ~ Jonathan Bailor
Ingredients of a New Mindset
God tells us “without a vision, my people perish.” Vision is your future and the future is your vision.” Dr. John Binkley.
Your Set Point Can Become Broken
Your SetPoint is the size and weight your body has determined it should weigh. If your Set Point gets broken, you will not be very pleased with how stubbornly it clings to an elevated level. You can change this. You will need a vision and a plan. Let me summarize a few main points from the study we have just completed on “How to Change Your Set Point.”
- You are a Spirit with a soul (mind, will, and emotions. You live in a body.
- Eat more high-quality SANE Foods which lower your set point
- Eat less to None of the low-quality INSANE Foods, which raise your set point.
- Eating 10-12 Non-Starchy Vegetables each day is a powerful way to lower your set point
- Use Green Smoothies once or twice a day as a shortcut to getting your amount of vegetables
Nutritious Choices can be Delicious Choices
Good fats are mandatory for good brain function. Instead of feeling guilty or denying yourself fats, search for the good ones and enjoy them. You can use a pat of pure delicious Kerrygold butter on vegetables. You will be helping in their absorption into your bloodstream while savoring the wonderful flavor. Coconut milk, coconut cream, and coconut oil are filled with powerful nutrients. Have you tried Organic Almond Butter with apple slices or baby carrots or fresh celery?
Using “good sugars” like Stevia, Erythritol and Monk Fruit versus processed white sugar work beautifully.
Willpower Needs Help
The Holy Spirit empowers us with Self Control as one of our fruit of the spirit within each of us as born again believers. However, we must ask for this help in faith. Use what willpower you have, even if tiny, to develop more willpower.
Exercise with fun activities like walking and dancing as much as you can.
Exercise with intense workouts in brief sessions about two times a week.
