The Christmas Season and The New Year Ahead
So love this time of year. As busy as days have been, it seems I have enjoyed every minute of it. This year John and I have tried to really focus on creating special memories. Capitalizing on pictures we took on our family trip this past August, I made some books for each of the children. As I made the books, I was blessed reliving that special time and realizing how rare it was to have every child and all nine grandchildren there with us.
I also am reminded of how grateul we are that we were all protected from the terrible devastating tornadoes that hit our area the day after Christmas. We pray for the 100’s and 100’s of families who lost their homes and some who lost loved ones. We were in the smack dap middle of the tornadoes. We had our bible and were praying Psalms 91 in the safe closet during the dangerous time.
Back to a happier note: Here are just a few family pictures to give you a glimpse of what has been going on here. We all went to Christmas Eve Candlelight service at our church and then to Brennon’s to open presents. We spent Christmas Day at our niece’s home with my brother’s and our family and our Mom.
NorthPark is a place filled with memories for us as for so many years we went there and took Christmas pictures for our card. This year we wanted to take the little girls there to see the decorations and take a few pictures of them:
We had so much fun taking three of the older grandsons out to lunch Christmas week and then shopping. Here are the three oldest. They are all so close in age and just a joy to be around.
There have been basketball games, Carter’s Honor choir and 3 year old Caris’s very first dance recital.
Kylie and Nathan came on Christmas Eve afternoon to help me cook.
Here are Kylie and Nathan.
Caris and I went today to visit my mom. The precious folks at Mom’s Assisted Living just love seeing little children.
I pray God’s richest blessing on each of you.
