December – Mini-Challenges for Healthy Eating & Staying Fit

December is always filled with fun, busy schedules, tantalizing food and some thoughts of new dreams for a new year. Last month we talked about setting some smart boundaries for Holiday Eating this year. This month I’d like for you to write down your personal boundaries that you will commit to for a 30 day period.

For December, please join me in a 3-Part Mini Challenge:

Mini Challenge #1:  Learn to Erase

eraserLearn to erase. This will save you from some extra pounds and inches that often come along with holiday enjoyment. Hoe Downs is one of my favorite ever strategies. Go to fabufit.com/ttapp.htm  FIND LINK to learn how to do this 3-minute eraser exercise. Execute this 3-minute Hoe Downs before or after one of these debit food culprits. This exercise developed by Teresa Tapp, has been proven to lower glucose levels and thus greatly lessen the chances of the glucose from the food being turned to and stored as FAT. Mini Challenge #2:  Drink Water

waterDrinking 17 ounces of pure water before or after a Holiday debit food that you know you love but also know it has the potential of stealing fitness and health. Research done at Volhard Clinical Research Center in Berlin, Germany found that after subjects drank 17 ounces of water their metabolism rate increased by 30% within 10 minutes and didn’t peak until about 40 minutes later.

Please hear what I am saying. I do not mean to just go eat like crazy and then take these two actions. What I am saying is “Eat with intention and boundaries, but give yourself the freedom to enjoy those very favorite holiday foods with the decision made to implement the water and hoe downs.”

Tips:  It is critical to drink half your body weight in ounces of purified water daily minimum. Water has no calories and no fat!!! Triggers for hunger and thirst are so very similar, we may think we are hungry when really we are just thirsty.

Mini Challenge #3:  Learn to substitute.

subsI have created a list of a few “delicious old favorites” and their “healthy and delicious” subs. Soon, I will be offering them free to you!

Throughout the month of December, I will be updating this blog with short videos, and giving you more information on each of these challenges.  Let me know if you decide to join me in this challenge by commenting below.  I hope to hear from you!  There is nothing to lose.  You are only committing to yourself. This is the way you build your own confidence in fact – make a commitment and stick to it. Each time you do such a thing, your confidence grows.

Can’t wait to hear from you!
