If you eat out, there are still healthy choices!
Chicken, fish, or steak are great, and available at most restaurants, but be sure to order without butter on your meat and veggies. Some of my favorite places to eat: Market Street – Salad bar with olive oil and balsamic for dressing. Chipolte Bowl – meat, lettuce, guacamole and pico. Gloria’s – fajitas with lettuce wraps instead of tortillas, a side salad or veggies instead of rice and beans, Village Burger Bar, Twisted Root, Mooyah Burger – bun-less burger and NO french fries, even if they are sweet potato fries. Sorry:)
If you go to a party, kids’ tournament, baby shower, house warming, etc., plan ahead!
Take your own snacks or eat beforehand. There will be temptations there. Don’t go on an empty stomach! You can do it!!!
Go grocery shopping and PLAN for next week!!!
If you have just started your healthy, Paleo diet, you might be feeling a little weak, cranky, and have no energy. I assure you it’s normal! Your body is detoxing. It’s not used to being deprived of its bread, sugar, dairy, and preservatives. Change is never easy, but by this time next week, you will be feeling great!!! Your body has no idea how good it was made to feel:)
