Two Eraser Strategies for the Holidays
Thanksgiving is definitely my favorite of all holidays. Christmas comes in a very close second. As much as I enjoy cooking, I seldom give myself the time freedom to cook as much as I do at this time of the year. Gatherings with friends at events, (John and I have 4 dinner dances this month), is a great joy. Gathering with family is an even greater joy. All of these things involve the happiness that comes with good food.
A sure thing is that none of us want to wear this good food into the new year around our waist or on our hips. What can we do? Let me share a few of the things we have learned:
It is very important to think ahead and plan our days at this time of year.
We want to make a decision to Eat with Intention instead of Eating Carelessly
Set some boundaries (like an eating cutoff time for the day).
Train your body to recognize and honor the Fullness Cues.
Keep your blood sugar balanced by following the Hunger/Full Index.
There are several other action steps that can be ever so helpful, but one of the best is this one:
Learn to Erase
There will be times during the holidays that foods we enjoy very much will appear. We will want to give ourselves permission on occasion to enjoy these foods without guilt. We won’t use these two strategies as an opportunity to eat carelessly. We will still eat wisely, slowly and with intentional choices; enjoying who we are with more than what we are eating.
The first strategy is to learn a wonderful little exercise called Hoe Downs. It is a simple 2-3 minute eraser exercise created by Teresa Tapp at https://t-tapp.com. Hoe Downs are not only an energy booster, but they will drop the glucose in your body 62-85% upon completion. They will burn excess glucose before it converts to fat.

Pure Water
The other strategy is one taken from research done at the Volhard Clinical Research Center in Germany. This one is simply drinking 17 ounces of pure water at once after eating the Holiday Debit Food. Water in itself cleans and erases. With this strategy it also will increase your metabolism (fat burning ability) by 30% and keep it there 40 minutes.
