One Tidbit from the Upcoming The Five Most Important Habits Course
Some friends are forever, (for a lifetime), but others may be just for a season. It is rare to find the forever ones, but every person we meet has that possibility. In 1976, I called a person in my newly found “Babysitting Club” and asked her to babysit our three small children. This was the beginning of a lifetime friendship with Kreig Teague. She later told me and often reminds me again of the other part of this story. That very day, Kreig had become a Christian and prayed for the Lord to send her a friend. I called almost immediately. At that time I didn’t know her and she didn’t know me. How grateful I am for this lifetime friend.
It is rare to find even one-lifetime friend in this lifetime. I consider myself blessed as I have more than one.
Other friends show up in our lives here and there for a season because we have a season of something in common. My childhood neighbor, Judy Boufford, my college roommate, Maribelle, are a couple I think of. The season changed and sadly I lost contact with these friends.
For a Reason
Some friends are in our lives for a reason. I believe God places them there very
Eileen Stine and Barbara Giannini were both next-door neighbors in different neighborhoods. Jeanine Fleming, Felicia Greer and Jennie Wisdom are three other treasures. Each has been so very special in my life. They each played valuable roles in my life path. My life would not be the same today had they not showed up when they did. I hear from them once and awhile, but sadly because of distance or just life itself, these treasured friendships aren’t as strong as once. I’m sad for this and know there are habits I could have had in place to have kept strong almost all of these friendships.
Let’s Talk More
Our upcoming Fabufit Course The Five Most Important Habits will contain many baby step habits we can develop to become the best version of us we can. Sometimes it is just one little habit we missed or didn’t think was important that makes all the difference. Class one begins soon.
