Highlights of Our 50th Wedding Anniversary

Thanking the Lord for 50 Years of Marriage

50th Cut Cake A Anniversary222PM John and I were married June 13, 1964. It seems a very short time ago. The Lord has blessed us abundantly and we are extremely grateful.  In June, our kids helped us plan and experience a beautiful celebration. Almost 100 friends and family came to join with us in this momentous occasion. If you didn’t get to join in with us, please know  that we would absolutely loved to have invited all of you, but our invitation list was limited.

Yes, it is several months after the occasion, but we just received our Highlight Video from the Videographer, Keith Lindley. He created an amazing 3 minutes of  treasured memories of the evening, which I would love to share with you. The video begins with our three children. We didn’t know any one of them was going to speak.

Our waltz was choreographed by Ben De LaVega, of  PJ Dancetique in Garland. Ben spent hours upon hours working with us in learning the patterns. You will see glimpses here of the waltz. One important thing to notice here is that the day before, I had severely sprained my ankle to the point that by the evening before the dance, I could put no pressure whatsoever on my foot. John and I are believers in the mighty healing power of the Lord Jesus. We called upon Him to heal me. By morning, my ankle was restored and I was able to wear heels and dance the waltz leaving out only one spin. All praise goes to the Lord, our Healer.

“He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
