Boundaries – How to Set Boundaries

A boundary is something that indicates the farthest limit. Depending on your point of view, you might see a boundary as something that limits you but as I began implementing a few boundaries in my life I realized these boundaries gave me a sense of freedom.

Zachariah 9:12:  King James Bible
Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

It is good to be a prisoner of HOPE. I would have to admit, I was at one time a slave or prisoner to the flesh (letting it eat just what it wanted and when it wanted). I learned that the “flesh” will really boss you around if you let it dominate you. You have to say “NO”!

TIP: Discipline is Freedom

boudariesHere are a few simple boundaries I have set in my life:

Eating Out –  I make a decision:  “How many times a week will I allow myself to eat out?”

Erasing – If I eat debit food, I will drink a fiber drink with plenty of water knowing the erasing benefits of fiber and water. I will also do the three-minute Hoe-Down exercise to immediately lower blood sugar.

Water first – Before tea, water, or a healthy Zevia Soda, I will first drink a big glass of water so I do not allow the other to take the place of water my body needs for optimum metabolism.

Eat Before 7:30 – Most emotional eating is done after 7:30 at night.

Eat slow enough to recognize when I am full. Eat soon enough to avoid being wildly hungry and eating too much. Know where you are on the Hunger/Full Index.

These are just a few. Crazy as they may seem, they have really made a difference for me. It is the little things that make a big difference.
