Do You Fear Being Hungry?
I used to (many years ago) fear hunger tied to a fear of weight gain:) It is really a common fear I have found.
Hunger Pains are a Sign That Your Body Needs Refueling
We might liken our body to a car. If we fail to put gas in the car, that car won’t run properly or at all. Our body needs 5 to 6 small nutrient-dense meals (three main meals and 2 or three healthy snacks) a day to become a fat burning machine. Without food, our metabolism slows down and weight gain occurs. Have you noticed this? Oh my goodness, it can be frustrating! Doesn’t it seem crazy that the more we eat throughout the day, the better our metabolism begins to work and the more calories our body burns.
When Eating the Paleo Way with Balance,
Hunger Can Be a Great Sign
On my Paleo Journey, I have noted that on days here and there that I am really hungry (for good things), that is the very time more inches are beginning to drop. Sounds crazy, but we can learn to listen to our body and learn so much. At those times for me, I am happy because I know my metabolism has just taken a boast and is burning more fat and calories than it did before.
Time
The process of repairing our metabolism does take time. This metabolism is quite adaptive, but it isn’t suppressed or restarted overnight. It took awhile for our metabolism to get damaged. It will take awhile for it to be repaired. However, what fun it is to be repairing our metabolism and enjoying the delicious Paleo way of eating.
When combining Paleo eating with consistent strength training and cardio exercise, muscle is created. More muscle also increases our metabolism.
It is okay to be hungry, when we train ourselves to be hungry for the Paleo Heroes and shun the Paleo Culprits.
