It was a Beautiful December
These past several weeks have gotten me really off track. I do thank the Lord for a beautiful December with so many treasures to be remembered. John and I went on a trip of a lifetime to Australia and New Zealand, being gone almost a month; and returning home just in time to race into Christmas. The race was too fast, and I feel like I didn’t get to enjoy the wonderfulness of Christmas as much as I would have loved to. However, I must say the trip was worth the race. We saw parts of God’s amazing world we had never seen. We flew into Sydney and so enjoyed several days there. We met two of our favorite dancing couples from Dallas in Sydney boarded the Celebrity Soltice for a 14 day cruise. We were able to go on several excursions that allowed us to see the beauty of Australia and New Zealand.
Before leaving, I named my December month Dare to Be Fit December, as I knew that a cruise ship would definitely have delicious food that didn’t fit my Paleo lifestyle..
Honestly, I must admit that I did not make fabulous choices on all meals. However, I did eat very slowly and enjoyed every bite. And I was diligent to get 10,000 steps per my FitBit almost every single day with dancing, walking the deck and at night walking the halls and praying. And yes, Hoe Downs and extra water were needed on several occasions. So gratefully I did not add any inches or pounds. It also makes a big difference that my “Set Point” is rather firmly established.
November and December are two of my very favorite months of the year. I am so very thankful we did get home in time to be with our family. The excitement of our two little granddaughters were such a delight to watch. We have so very much

worthy of our heartfelt thanksgiving. I pray your Christmas was very good and that you were able to create some happy memories. So many things are going on at the same time it seems. There are still way too many opportunities to eat carelessly. I don’t want to do that for sure. “Lord help us each to slow down and enjoy the days and cherish the memories.” A brand new year is only around the corner. God’s mercies are new every morning, so we have an entire year of new mercies to look forward to.
My prayer is that hope will fill your heart. Our nation is dark, but He is Light. The darkness has never overpowered the light.
John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Personally, my hope is for “divine appointments”, deeper understanding of His promises and wondrous revelation of His love for us, His Remnant of people. My expectation is for miraculous “suddenlies” to begin to appear.
Psalm 68:28(AMP)
28 Your God has commanded your strength [your might in His service and impenetrable hardness to temptation]; O God, display Your might and strengthen what You have wrought for us!
