Outshine Yourself October
October, outshine yourself this year! As we welcome the beautiful month of October, let’s ask October to shine brightly. Each month at Fabufit, we name our month to give us an extra boost of inspiration and encouragement. Don’t you think we all need a little extra? October begins my favorite season of the year. Texas shows little evidence that it has begun yet, but I know it is right around the corner. Soon arrives Thanksgiving and then Christmas.
The Power of Our Words
We call October to bring sunshine in the midst of darkness. Our nation seems turned upside down. Wickedness appears to have overtaken our government. The enemy is trying very hard to steal away our freedom in America. Let’s remember: Our words have such power. Our words either activate the Law of Life or the Law of Death. Life and death are in the power of the tongue God tells us. Charles Capps made a statement in his book that I plan to think on over and over. In essence, he said, what if Jesus knocked at your door today and said to you: “From this moment forward, every word you speak will come to pass.” Would you be excited? More than being excited, would you be very very intentional about what you spoke and what you didn’t speak? Then Capps went on to say, “Jesus has already spoken that to you through his written word. Our life circumstances today are the result of our words of yesterday.”
The Season Ahead
Fall is a gorgeous season of the year; one to look forward to with joy. Let’s put our words and our prayers into alignmnet with the powerful Word of God and see things begin to change in our nation for good.
The plans of the wicked are being turned upside down.” Psalms 146:9
The mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. Psalms 63:11
There is a wall of fire (around these United States) and the glory within. Zech 2:5
WE also declare this around our family and church.)
Calling Things Correctly
Curry Blake of JGLM Ministries taught on this subject at a service I was at this week. We have only 3 options of how we call things.
1. Call things that are as though they are. Call it as you see it. (This is the way average people talk, but this is not how the Word of God instructs us to talk.) Example: “I’m sick and that is just the way it is.” “Our nation no longer is a nation of freedom.” No, we can’t speak this and cannot agree with these statements.
As God spoke to Abraham, He described Himself as one who quickens the dead and calls things that be not as though they were.
New King James Version
(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.
2. Call things that are as though they are not. This option doesn’t follow Biblical instruction either. EX: “I am not sick. “
3. Call things that be not as though they were.
We must train ourselves to agree with God. First, we must know what He said, and then we can speak correctly. “My body says I am sick, but I believe the Word of God that says, ‘By His stripes, I was healed.'”
Jesus won every battle with “It is written.” We can do the same.
