Self Control is a Gift
Have you thought of self-control as a gift? As a born-again believer, you have been given many gifts. One gift is The Fruit of the Spirit. A part of that fruit is Self-Control.
How can you begin to walk in the reality of that gift? Before you eat, stop and be grateful. Thank the Lord for the food no matter what it is. During this time that you stop, think about the food you are about to eat. Is it a health-promoting food or a health-destroying-food? Thank the Lord that He is helping you to make better and better choices. Thank Him for being your strength and your victory.

Gratitude
Self-control is a gift God has given to each of us. It must be activated by faith. Remember that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is the title deed for your answer. Do you desire to have self-control? Begin thanking the Lord that you have it now, by faith, because He has provided it for you.
