Summer Update
Our summers are always busy. This one has been no exception. When one has as many grandchildren as John and I do, there are always opportunities for family times. We are very very grateful for that.
Another Graduate
This year we had grandson #3 graduate from Plano East High School. Braden is a precious young man; quiet but strong. He played on the Plano East Varsity Football team; although he missed much of this last season due to a serious injury and operation on his shoulder. Honestly, I am so glad he has not pursued a scholarship in college football. It is about my least favorite sport. Graduation at Plano East is so huge that only a few tickets are allotted to each graduate. We did get to attend. He and our grandson, Chandler, will both be going to Tarrelton College this fall.

A Week in Cancun
The morning after graduation, we left for Cancun. We’ve had the joy of honoring our graduates with this trip since the first graduation with Austin. Braden’s family went too, as well as our daughter, Brennon, and her family.

- Such fun with all of Braden’s family going and Chandler too.
Joy in July
July and August are filled with birthdays in our family with 3 in July and 4 in August. I’m realizing how very important it is to figure ways to honor these birthdays. It has been such a good reason for our family to get together and actually it gives me great joy to prepare dinner for them.
- Our Daughter, Brooke, has her 50th Birthday
- Many of the family joined in to celebrate.
- The girls and I took Brooke out to breakfast.
- Cameron came home for his 18th Birthday
- Cali will be 4 July 31st
A Variety of Busy Days
Brennon and Brett had us all over to swim on the 4th. They had celebrated their 22 Anniversary in Cancun. (John and I celebrated our 54th with a special dinner at our favorite Cancun Mexican Restaurant, La Parilla.
I loved watching everyone in the pool trying to perfect the water toss. Let’s see if I can share the video. It took all day to get it right. John and I brought Mother over but it was way too hot for her to be outside. She still enjoyed the lunch and seeing everyone. She eats so slowly that all afternoon was spent at the kitchen table watching those at the pool from the big window. She is now 98 and doing well. Thank you Lord. Old age is definitely not for sissies. I’m also including a photo of my friend, Jewel, who is in my Bible Study. She is definitely an inspiration of what old age can be like. My own mom is free of any disease. Jewel takes its a step beyond: she still works at Steinmart. She dresses like a million dollars, wears heels and goes out to minister the love and power of the Lord any chance she has. This photo was taken on her 96th birthday. I was mesmerized by her stories and testimonies. Notice her big earrings and big yellow purse.

John and I are also in the midst of redecorating our den and kitchen area with new paint and updates. My good friend and decorator, Alba, has been such a blessing over the almost 20 years we have lived in this house. She helped us create our dance room in our old office area and our new office area in our little loft area that served no purpose before. She is amazingly creative.
Fabufit Plans
Team Fabulous has just finished up our 8 weeks course on Healing. What fun it is for me to prepare these courses. At the present I am completing the powerpoint for teaching a one session class on being Fearless in the Lord. Watch for a post of the Fearless Declarations coming at the end of July. We will begin a course on Dr. Caroline Leaf’s book called the Gift in You later in August.
