Life is Worth Living Because He Lives

Easter! Without Easter there would be no Christmas. This is a joyous holiday as we think on the words to the beautiful song …………”Because He Lives.”

Very often I think of  and wonder how anyone could possibly live with peace and hope in the world we live in  without the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, Confident and Best Friend. I know I couldn’t. I would cave without His strength. We live in such troubled times.

Just yesterday, John and I went as guests to a Dallas Luncheon given by Liberty Institute. Our eyes were opened. We heard stories of how Christians are being persecuted right here in these United States of America. We heard Coach Kennedy speak. He was fired from his football coaching job he loved because he prayed with his team. See the Story

Liberty Institute is fighting the injustice that was done to this coach.

We saw a video of the story of the Decorated Air Force veteran assaulted and dragged out of retirement ceremony over the word “God”. Read this Story. Oh my goodness!

First Liberty Institute is representing Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of “Sweet Cakes by Melissa,” in a battle for the Oregon couple’s religious freedom. Here is their story. Because they could not in good conscious agree to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple, this couple took them to court, caused them to be fined $135,000, and to lose the business they has worked so hard for.

Christian friends, we have so much to be grateful for. Because He lives, because he rose from the dead and defeated death; we can face today and tomorrow.

Because He lives, all fear is gone. We do not know what the future holds, but we do know Who holds the future. Oh how grateful we are.
