Most have the mistaken belief that aging has to bring unhappiness. Studies show that people actually get happier as they get older.

For most of us this is really new thinking. This thought had probably never even crossed my mind until my Mom fell and broke her hip at 87. My journey of helping Mom introduced me to a group of elderly ones who made me stop and think. So many of these folks were in a sad state of affairs with no mobility, poor health, and sad countenances. Others were a joy to be around, were optimistic about life and eager to have friends. I wanted to know the secrets of the oldest of the old who still loved life and lived in health. What should I be doing right now to end up on Happy Rd.

At age 85 Oscar Wilmeth decided he wanted to live to 100. A near fatal car wreck and many more obstacles came to stop him.
