Thanksgiving Recipes Paleo Style
Thanksgiving is my very very favorite of all holidays. I love the Thanksgiving story behind the day, the time with family and the great reminder of our many many blessings.
John and I love our traditional favorites like Dressing and Orange Jello Salad; but we also try to add in some of the delicious Paleo recipe versions that we like just as well. (I must admit that most of our family doesn’t necessarily choose these. The don’t realize that the Cinnamon Pecans and Caramelized Almonds are Paleo, so they like these a bunch. Those who like Cranberry sauce can’t tell the difference on this version. The rest of the family chooses Brennon’s Kansas Dirt that she always brings versus any pies.) My mom loves pie, so it doesn’t matter to her whether she thinks it is Paleo or not.

Coconut Cream Whipped Topping

This is one of our very favorite recipes to use all year long: Whipped Coconut Cream.
Chill a can of Coconut Cream (milk won’t work)
Add Coconut Cream, Several Drops of Liquid Stevia and 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla together.
My coconut cream can doesn’t even need any more than mixing together. Some cans need a few whips with the beaters and possibly being refrigerated for a little before using.
Lemon Bars
Cranberry Sauce
I followed the directions on the package of fresh cranberries but instead of the cup of sugar it called for, I added 1 cup of agave nectar. Oh my goodness, it was better than the one with sugar.
