Words Come From Our Heart
Matthew 12:35 Jesus is teaching on the Production of Words. He tells us that our words will be composed or manufactured from what we have stored in our heart, good or bad. The very same mouth speaks good and bad. The Master says these things ought not to be.
My Desire
My great desire in life is to speak ONLY those words that are in agreement with God’s Word. Of course, this is a lifelong process and every day is a brand new day. In fact, every minute is a brand new minute. We will never arrive and not have to keep that guard on our mouth. However, just like any habit we ever develop; that habit of choosing to speak only things good, pure and lovely and of a good report becomes stronger each time it is put to use. It will with time become a routine. Routines can be taken to autopilot. That is when the miracle happens and it becomes just like us to walk in that particular routine.
If Words come from our heart, let’s find out what the Heart is.
What is the Heart?
The heart includes the combination of the Spirit, the Soul (mind, will and emotions) and the Body. Put these all together and we have the sum total of the whole man.
“The heart is the center of the entire mental and moral activity of the complete person.” ~ Francis Martin
Is There a Chain of Command?
Yes, definitely there is a chain of command.
1.
When we are born again by accepting Jesus as our Lord (Romans 10) our human spirit is recreated. God can now speak to man by His Holy Spirit to our human spirit.
2.
The human spirit directs the soul (mind, will and emotions)
3.
The mind directs the body to include the tongue.
This is how it SHOULD work. (You and I know it doesn’t always work this way because of our choices.)
The GOOD NEWS is that when a man or a woman gets his tongue, mind, will, emotions, soul, body and spirit trained to take orders from the Holy Spirit, he begins to speak correctly and in line with God’s Word. This brings about glorious results in life. It is not impossible.
Luke 1:37 For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power
or impossible of fulfillment.
