This and That/Dr. Leaf Notes/Next Class/Recipe Additions
Hello Fabulous Ones,
Goodness, this time of the year is always a whirlwind. I’d love to know what is going on in your lives. Most likely it is just as busy as mine. This post may not be so organized, but if I keep waiting until it can organize it, it may never reach you. Our two year old grand baby girl arrives in a few minutes for the day. I was so sure I sent an email to you guys last week, but cannot find it anywhere in my email or in copies of my posts….. Am having to work on my Mac and for some reason I don’t know how to access my groups on Mac in gmail; thus, this is coming as a confidential post to our team.
Let me review, just in case the email I sent never arrived or worse was not sent.
Next Course
We will begin our course on Living Long and Strong next Monday night, May 22. I have been reviewing my book called Centenarians: The Bonus Years by Lynn Adler. Oh my it has wonderful stories and research in it. Hoping to go back also to my notes on a Biblical Series on Living Long by Keith Moore where he went way back in history to find some really long lived ones. I especially remember Agnes, who grew three sets of teeth during her long life. This week, I purchased two more books on Centenarians. There is so much on this subject. Oh the time to gather it all in.
This past month I have also been going through a course on creating products, etc. to make your learning easier. As I mentioned in my other email (perchance it went out), I’ve also been helping our tenth grade grandson pass Chemistry. I’ve never had chemistry so this has been a stretch, and at this point not successful. I have learned that you can learn almost anything via Youtube.com if only you have and can take the time to do so. Wow, it is amazing what technology has done in the recent years.
Dr. Leaf
Our church brought Dr. Leaf in for a weekend seminar for women. It was fabulous and inspired me to really press in with my learning from her. I am going to attach my notes from the seminar for you guys to go through. She talks very very fast and has an accent so this seminar stretched my typing skills (on iPad), but I got most of it. Particularly notice what she says about the 97% versus 3%. It is encouraging. Each of our daughters and our older granddaughter, Kylie, went with me for the weekend and I am praying they liked it as much as I did (or close). Yikes how do I attach notes via this post?
Dr. Leaf 5-6-17 (it doesn’t look like this is attaching here, so I may have to email this in a couple days when my HP is repaired.)
There are several things I have found and am learning about that I do want to share with those of you on our team.
Wellnessmama.com is a Wonderful Resource Site
Wellness Mama wrote about FIRE CIDER: a natural tonic for the immune system. I tried it out a few months ago. Instead of making it myself, as I am sure she does, I got a bottle at Amazon. It really really worked well. John asked me to order another bottle this month.
For the past year or so Wellnessmama has talked about a dentist and wife in Hawaii who specialize in preventing cavities, receding gum lines, etc. The dentist has created some excellent short videos on just how to brush, and how to do many simple things to strengthen and protect our teeth. I had gotten two packages of the toothbrushes they recommended and loved them. Then I saw they had created a natural product called Shine that remineralizes teeth and also whitens teeth without bleaching. By the time I ordered it, the product was sold out. Yes, I am still waiting on their next production, which should be in the next few weeks. The website is orawellness.com (not to be mistaken for oral wellness.com). At a dental checkup yesterday, I overheard our dentist talking about a remineralization product for teeth he had been presented with and bought. I’m relatively sure his won’t be a natural alternative like this one, so I am waiting for this one.
The other product is a set of natural hair care products. For years I have been stuck on using one shampoo. It is a good idea to alternate shampoos and conditioners. I got a sample set of Morocco Method shampoos and conditioners and have had very good results. They also have a gel for styling that is good. The only thing I can’t seem to find is a natural hair spray that works. They don’t offer one. The others I have tried don’t work. My goal is to stop using anything chemical on my hair. Morocco did gave me a DIY way to make a natural hair spray. However, I don’t have the right spray bottle to make it work yet. This company called Morocco Hair, has apparently been around for many years. The owner has done hair for the rich and famous like Jacquelyn Kennedy. It seems he became convicted of the use of chemical products and began a world search for natural ingredients to make his own. I don’t agree with his religious beliefs or philosophy, but I do like the concept of his products and how they work.
Here is the website http://shop.morroccomethod.com. In my search for this website URL I also saw several coupons if ordering via Amazon. I got the starter package that looks like this. Also I had a 15% coupon from Wellnessmama site. The containers are little 2 oz., but then you dilute them. I am thinking with rotating the shampoos they will last a long long time. I also bought the small brush not shown here. My favorites of the shampoos are: Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo and Earth Essence. My favorite conditioner is Lotus Floating Conditioner.
New Simple Ways to Make a Couple of our Recipes even Better
We often make a simple Paleo type mayonnaise to use in Chicken Salad. One of our favorite things to put in the salad is grapes. We were out of grapes, but had gotten some blueberries. There were delicious in the simple chicken salad of chicken, mayonnaise, sea salt and blueberries.

Paleo Lemon Ice Cream — oh what a discovery! I used the Vanilla Ice Cream recipe that we make in our home all the time and I added some Lemon Extract…..about 2 teaspoons and extra stevia to the recipe.
