Tips for a Beautiful Thanksgiving

thanksgiving2Having a Blessed Thanksgiving

A very blessed Thanksgiving: this is my prayer for you.  As I plan our Thanksgiving  cooking and day with our family, I am thinking through some decisions I will make ahead of time. Maybe my decisions will inspire you to also plan some ahead of time decisions and  make this an even more blessed Thanksgiving than ever before.

Praise God for Each of His Blessings

Praise God for the day ahead of time, whatever it may bring.

Psalm 107:21,22  Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing  joyfully about his glorious acts.

Prepare and Decideironinmy soul

Ask the Master to put “Iron in your soul”, your mind, will, emotions and imagination. Let your commitment to health and fitness remain strong.

and looking good feels.” ~ Felicia Greer

  • Prepare my cooking ahead so I am not rushed and stressed on Thanksgiving at the last minute.

  • Think through the food that will be there and make my own choices ahead of time, drawing a line in the sand and asking the Holy Spirit to put iron in my soul and steel in my convictions.

  • Plan  healthy foods  and plenty of pure water that will counter those debit foods (fitness and healthy destroying foods) I love and plan to eat.

  • Eat slowly enjoying who I am with more than what I am eating.

  • Begin visualizing the beauty and memories of this day. See myself enjoying every minute of being with our children, grandchildren, mom, and other precious relatives.imagine

  • Begin visualizing choices I will make and choices I will not make before I am in the midst of all of the delicious tantalizing foods.

  • Begin declaring my scriptures now:

  • “God has begun a good work in me and He will perform it.” Phil 1:6

  • Decide now on a walk after dinner on Thanksgiving Day.

  • refuse to sinkjpg

See myself on Thanksgiving Evening rejoicing over memories made and good choices implemented.

rejoice with joy
