Tips for Team Fabulous 2015

A Few More Things I Learned 2015

My prayer is that you each had a wonderful Thanksgiving that was filled with good memories. God was so very good to bless us with family, good food, lots of babies and my 95 year old mom with us another year.

Last year about this time, I sent you members of Team Fabulous  a confidential email about how I fared through Thanksgiving eating. It was a good report. This Thanksgiving I was even more Paleo style committed than last. However, I must admit that even though I had my delicious Paleo recipes prepared and ready; my plan of thinking through the day and my prayer for wisdom wasn’t as strong as last year’s resolve.

Boy, how I realized the power of a plan and prayer. Before Christmas dinner, I will pray, write out my plan and imagine myself enjoying my family, the day, eating slowly, and keeping within the boundaries of my plan.

Silly as it seems, it makes a huge difference to have a strong plan. I knew I would enjoy our Traditional Dressing inherited from John’s Grandmother as well as a taste of  Christy’s pie; but I forgot to make plans for Brooke’s corn casserole. A small serving of each of these debit foods would have been fine; but for some reason I ate too fast and a bit too much. Once you train yourself in Fabufit eating, it is not joyful to go too far outside these boundaries. My boundaries after years of training are pretty strong. Yours may be only beginning to be established. Just start where you are and go with the boundaries you now have, but walk in faith to go further.

hismerciesarenewThe Good News

The good news is that we can always get right back on track and ask God to hem us in to our established boundaries for the next time. We can remember that there are over the top delicious substitutes for most of the special Holiday dishes.

Ps 139:5 You hem me in, behind and before and lay your hand upon me.

Ps 183:2,3 You have exalted above all things your names and your Word.
On the day I called, you answered me, my strength of soul you increased.

Did You Try?

The Cranberry Sauce:

As last year, I followed the directions on the package of fresh cranberries; but instead of the cup of sugar it called for, I added 1 cup of agave nectar. This was so very good.

Paleo Pecan Pie:IMG_1919

I am changing the recipe to 2 1/2 versus 3 cups of pecans. Pecan Pie is my husband’s favorite and he loves this one almost as much as the old time one made with Karo Syrup.

My Plan Executed but not Perfectly

The day ended with wonderful memories of being with almost all of our children and grandchildren, my 95 year old mom, our niece, Shea and my brother Buddy and his family. (Pace and Dana were in Colorado to spend Thanksgiving with her mom.)  I enjoyed the family the most. The food was delicious.  Here are a few photos of our day.

I would love to hear how your special day went. Remember, we are in training. Baby steps do make a difference. You will train your body to obey more and more as time goes on.

Holiday Recipe Cards

Praise the Lord! I have worked this week on completing our 2016 Edition of Recipe Cards, adding about 20 totally delicious new recipes all Paleo. Here are a few of the new ones:

Cinnamon Coffee Cake
HolidayRecipeCardsGrnStrip2PM

Beef Enchiladas

Chicken Enchiladas

Squash Casserole

Blender Ice Creams

These will make good Christmas gifts for any of your loved ones who may want to have some delicious healthy recipes. I so dislike promoting my own products but I am so very proud of these cards. They are definitely a labor of love considering the number of hours it has took to test and create them.

Can’t presale them yet as I must now get them to the printers and find out the cost.

Your Recording Archive of Class 4 Power of Imagination

It is posted on the Members Only/Class Archives for you. Thank each of you who were in the class. I thought it was one of our best yet.

Many blessings to you!
