Welcome March

MarchMagnified and Marked March

Each new month brings to me new expectation and anticipation that “something good is going to happen to me (to you!)” (as Oral Roberts used to say.)

March is the 3rd month of our new year 2015. The number 3 is used 467 times in the Bible. It pictures completeness.

Let’s “magnify” March and declare it marked for greatness – a month where our dreams and visions will begin to be manifested.

Update on Texas

Boy, it has been cold here in our part of Texas. As I write this, snow still covers the ground. John and I are venturing out to grandson, Carter’s, championship Basketball game at 4. He is 9.  All of this week has been cold here. Actually, it has been such a good time to catch up on some things that had been at the back of my plate for sometime….like working on our 50th Wedding Anniversary Party photos. I spent the day on this and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I will never forget how gracious our Lord was to heal my severely sprained ankle overnight so I could dance the Waltz we had worked on for literally months, sometimes with two lesson a week. Our dance teacher, Ben de la Vega, saw more in us than we ever saw in ourselves. We left most lessons thinking; “What is he thinking. We will never remember all the steps or have the skill to do this dance.” Finally, we felt somewhat confident enough to perform the Waltz at our big 50th Dinner Dance.

But then, the day before our party………

50th DJ Dancing Anniversary181I was at Crossfit the day before our big event and thought I could jump bacdani lifting w textk doing Burpee’s. Yep, I jumped wrong and turned my ankle. My Crossfit Journey

The pain was unbearable by night time. It was looking like an impossible situation for me to even go to our party the next night. However, because of God’s mighty healing power, I was able to wear my dance heels and with faith in a “never-failing” Heavenly Father, step out on the floor the next night. It was truly a gracious quick miracle from our precious Lord, which I will never forget to thank Him for. Read more

Our Theme for March

I will be sharing the best tips I have gleaned over my past two years of Paleo testing, searching and cooking in the blogs this month. My goal is to have one tip a week on this theme along with some new amazing recipes I have just recently tested and discovered.

Our Team Fabulous has just completed our Four Weeks to a Lifetime course where we learned some about the Paleo lifestyle. John and I, as well a few of our Team Fabulous members, are on the home stretch of the Crossfit Ammo strict Paleo 30 Day Challenge. This has caused me to reflect on how very much I love the Paleo way of eating. I have never had an eating plan that is so very delicious and health filled, while at the same time (when combined with consistent exercise), causes stubborn inches to melt. This way of eating has a learning curve attached with it. One needs to know where to find the best cooking resources at the best prices, how to organize one’s kitchen for easy and quick cooking, and how to surge through the myriad of Paleo recipes to find the over-the-top delicious ones. So the next 4 week course for Team Fabulous will be on the Paleo Lifestyle: Tips and Shortcuts to bypass the long learning curve I took.
