I am happy to welcome one of the most beautiful months of the year. Not only is it beautiful because of the changing seasons and fall colored leaves; but the beauty goes much deeper as we celebrate Thanksgiving and remember the many blessings God has given to us in America. Above is our 2 year old granddaughter, Caris. She, along with eight other treasured grandchildren, is a blessing I cherish.
It is a great time to intentionally think on all the blessings in our lives: family, friends and freedom. We have freedom to worship The Lord without fear. I remind myself not to take this for granted as I realize many other people in other nations don’t have that freedom, Our daughter, Brooke, met a family from Egypt on the cruise they were on, and they learned it is unpopular and very dangerous to be a Christian in Egypt. Her family was targeted on a train the family was supposed to board, and changed at the last minute. The train was blown up. How grateful we are that we still have freedom as Christians in this country.
PS 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of The Lord. KJ
Ps 64:10 make praise your habit. The Message
