Words are Like Coins in the  Kingdom of Faith

“Words are like coins in the Kingdom of Faith.” Years ago I read a book by E.W. Kenyon and I’ve never forgotten that sentence. 

God places extremely high value on our words. He even goes so far as to say that our words determine life or death.  This is pretty serious.

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Prov 18:21

Words are Building Blocks

We are where we are today because of words spoken yesterday. Our words create our tomorrows. You set the boundaries of your life with the words you speak. And believe it or not, you live within the confines of those boundaries.

Weight Loss or Weight Gain

God’s method is to call for positive things in line with what He has promised in His word, even though they are not yet there. Call for them until they become. Your body responds to demands on the human spirit. God sees the end in the beginning and instructs us to do the same. This is called seeing with the eye of faith.

Declare Promises

We must capture every contrary thought and make it give up before it becomes words of power. One other principle to remember is that Words are on a higher plane than thoughts. We can overcome thoughts with opposite words.

Because Words have such power, we must train ourselves to listen for words that we do NOT wish to come to pass and put a stop to the utterance of such words.  Terri suggests if she hears those words, she says “And that’s just the way I (or you) want it.” This becomes a wakeup call to turn those words around.
