You’re Not Sick, You’re Just Thirsty

Dr. F. Batmanghelidj

I discovered the work of this gentleman many years ago and thought it made so much sense. Here are a few highlights of his amazing research. You can go to the website and read it in its entirety. In the last post I sent to you on Emotional Eating, I mentioned the close relationship between the mechanism for hunger and the mechanism for thirst. Many think they are hungry when they are merely thirsty. Dr. B takes it much further.

On the website THE WATER CURE, a wonderful doctor, now deceased, has information on how our bodies are dehydrated from drinking so many modern liquids that ARE NOT WATER. He says that we need lots of water and lots of salt, and that salt reduces high blood pressure.  Big Pharma sells our doctors “blood pressure medicine” that contains diuretics that flush water from out bodies, which is the worst thing to happen. Drink water, not soda or energy drinks or tea, and use lots of salt in your food. More information in the book THE BODY’S MANY CRIES FOR WATER.

Our life, our planet. Over 70% of the earth’s surface is water. However, most of it—98%–is salt water. Only 2% of the earth’s H20 is fresh water that we can drink, and of this, almost all is trapped in frozen glaciers.

You are not Just What you Eat; You are What you Drink

This is why water is so important to your health.

We can all change the way we drink – by drinking pure, natural water that is good for our health, our pocket book, and our environment.

No miracles. Just common sense backed by Dr. F. Batmaghelidj’s years of research and investigation into why water works so well in keeping us healthy and pain free. It can even cure illness in some people who get sick.

Our Muscles are 75% WaterWaterPitcherPM

Water is the basis of all life and that includes your body. Your muscles that move your body are 75% water; your blood that transport nutrients is 82% water; your lungs that provide your oxygen are 90% water; your brain that is the control center of your body is 76% water; even your bones are 25% water.

Our health is truly dependent on the quality and quantity of the water we drink.

Dr. B’s pioneering work shows that Unintentional Chronic Dehydration (UCD) contributes to and even produces pain and many degenerative diseases that can be prevented and treated by increasing water intake on a regular basis.

If you are committed to a healthy lifestyle, make drinking enough natural water a habit in your life. It won’t take long for you to feel the benefit.

It is a free investment for your long-term health.

“Rare indeed are those books destined to become all-time classics. Even rarer are books destined to accomplish a paradigm shift in any major area of modern knowledge. Of still greater rarity are books destined to benefit significantly the health of countless millions of human beings, at no cost to them. Such a landmark book is Your Body’s Many Cries for Water by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj. He has made revolutionary discovery about water metabolism of the human body.”

“The new paradigm shift for future research should be ‘water, the solvent of the body, regulates all functions, including the activity of the solutes it dissolves and circulates.”

“The bottom line to all this is that Dr. B is a true international hero when it comes to having the wisdom to recognize the fundamental causes of disease and the courage to speak up about it and tell the truth as he sees it.”

“The world owes Dr. B a debt of gratitude, and I only hope that someday he will be considered for the Nobel Prize or some other worthy recognition for his pioneering and courageous work on the healing effects of water.”

Chronic Dehydration Can Manifest Itself in Many Ways

Mike Adams, Health writer

“Dr. B tells me, ‘I’ve introduced an entirely new understanding of disease by proposing that chronic dehydration can manifest itself in many ways we in medicine have labeled as diseases conditions.’ He believes that ingestion of water may render a cure without resorting to standard medications. Interestingly, it appears that this “water therapy” is the great equalizer among the conventional and alternative medical communities. Many practitioners from both arenas speak highly of Dr. B’s work. For instance, his 1995 book Your Body’s Many Cries for Water has received accolades from the ultra alternative Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients to the button-down page of the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology whose book review called it a “masterpiece.” Your Body’s Many Cries for Water gives through and technically scholarly explanations for why dehydration can precipitate these bodily malfunctions.”

“Effective, non-conventional, drug-free approaches in America often are denied research money and are left in obscurity. In Dr. B’s instance, since drinking water is a cheap and plentiful commodity, he’s probably correct that there is no way to turn a big buck – so the spotlight misses his water therapy. Ironically, Dr. B, perhaps the country’s foremost expert on the physiological implications of water, doesn’t make much off his recommendations either, nor does he appear to be inclined to do so. Dr. B calls his work a public service.”
